can anybody perhaps suggest another vice that has stood the test of time for them
Renzetti, that's all I can say. Well, not really..... My first vise was a cheap fixed vice that came with a tying kit. I think it was a Griffin. Very basic, but durable and functional. The vice I now tie on is the Renzetti Traveler. True rotary and a great vice. Never have I had any trouble from it. I tie in the #22 - 0/1 range.
