My earlier reply was done in too much haste. After looking at the bead
chart and then checking the Mustad section of the book and the 3906
hooks that I have I would also include the Sproat bend in the NO-NO
list. My 3906 hooks look more like a Limerick bend than the Sproat that
the book says that have. I did find a hook that took a 3mm bead on a
size 14 hook but I cant remember what it was offhand. Will check my
beads and hooks and get back.

me that the gaps aren't wide enough. What brand of hooks out there
