thanks for the info. I think I will buy some of those from Byard. Till then I want to do some prototypes on those 2/0 hooks to see how the pattern will look like.

shanked spey hooks.   I just wanted to let you know so you don't get a
surprise.  :)  A lot of people still like them for their classic style
salmon patterns but it will be a longer body and wing so you have to have
materials that are long enough to fit the hook.

I admit, we had this a couple of times in the past, but here is a new question about hook size.
These eyeless hooks we talked about, come in size 1.5. How large is this? Is this something between 1 and 2? I have some size 2 steelhead hooks here, are the sizes comparable?
