I started on the Perkiomen below Green Lane state park (loads of
nymphs, but didn't catch a blessed thing), then moved down (south) on
Rt. 29 from Schwenksville to Collegeville and caught a lil' sucker/
white split-mouth right at the bridge (Germantown Pike, RT 29, Ridge
Pk., etc all near there in collegeville, where 29 makes the odd
dog-leg turns), then a few tributaries of the Pickering going down
through and in Phoenixville, and then the main Pickering Creek (a
little above Malvern I suppose it is?) where the Pickering creek
crosses under Rt. 29. The trout (albeit 8" or so) was caught on
Pickering creek, about a half- mile upstream from the Rt 29 bridge.
Access is from that bridge on 29, staying and wading on the far/
right-hand-when-looking-upstream side. Beware a canadian goose nest
at the top of the rock-pile as you head around the bend just above the
Rt. 29 bridge... that goose isn't too friendly... ;)
Tight wraps,
Pete
