Again I got too quick in sending the reply. It should read, "By Palmer I mean the hackle (wrapped) from front to back like (on) a Woolly Bugger". A Collar Hackle is one the is wrapped just behind the eye of the hook.

Tom, By Palmer I mean from front to back like a woolly bugger. While I am thinking about it, did you ever get the stuff I sent you. I think you were moving or getting married or something during that time. Tony

Hi Tony!!! Water here high and dirty in VT!!!! Still new to the tying slang but when you say "palmer" i take it to mean, grabbing the hackle by the tip and "fluffing" it down., then yes!!
