DonO: I know that area pretty well. Get to me off-line, and I will give up the secrets of trout fishing in SE Utah.
Larry Johnson Springville, Utah >>> [EMAIL PROTECTED] 04/29/05 6:10 PM >>> Got back a couple of days ago from Cortez, CO, and this time I came back through Moab, Utah. I spent the night in Moab and then did the Arches Park quik-tour the next morning, then drove back home. Awesome place and scenery around there. Got lots of digipics and mpegs. Next time I'll go see the other parks to the NW. When I drove down, I went through Gateway, which is the extreme western side of Colorado. What a ride and scenery- like mini Grand Canyon stuff. The Delores is almost flooding, but I hear it's only catfish water through there. The guy that owns the Discovery channel has his $6 million bungalow in the pass there, with his own private airport and a private town. That's right- he's building his own town. I got pictures to prove it. I'll go try to talk him into making it a trout river through there. With his bucks, who knows. A project coming up this summer will have me working in the area by Lisbon (south of Moab), and it is just beautiful in that region, too. About every pick-up truck had one or two atv's in the back, so I'll have to take mine along, too, I guess. Gotta find that remote creek to wet a line. Looking forward to this summer and being in the field. It looks like the best fishing will be the Delores below the dam, and some high lakes they have around the area. This hasta' be payback for the years I spent working in the North Dakota area. LOL DonO
