Lots of rain and cold in Michigan, but spent 3 days with my son chasing the trout on the fly.

We fished the South Branch of the Au Sable Thurs, took 2 brookies.  Comins Flats (outside Mio) before the rain took us off, and took a little brownie. The ones who braved the rain had a banner day in terms of quantity.  Fished Sheep Ranch down to the bridge of the North Branch of the Au Sable, and landed 9 brookies.  My son took 1, but was exploring instead of fishing when the good hits started coming.

Great thing was...all on dries!
