I was born in Nov. as well, but that was a bit ealier than the fly you
mention.

Catching fish on a fly is great
Catching fish on a fly you tied is even better
Catching fish on your own fly design, and on a rod, you build is even more
better
You can raise chicken, ty flies and catch fish - is great for sure, Denny,
right ? <G>
But... If you have no time to fish, but a fly that bears you name, catches
such a lot of fish. Maybe even better - at least for me.
After a bad week at work (Was at customer side for 3 days and outside their
fences for not more than 9 hours for the whole time) it was a great read to
start the weekend.
Keith, thanks a lot, and my wife gave me the go to fish the stillwater.

I dont recall which of you were in the Paraloop Swap that Martin Westbeek
meistered but I know Mad Rene Zillmann was. For that swap I made up a fly
called the MRZ. It was born in November of 04 and I fished it for the
first time in March this year. Got good results with it the first trip but
thought it a fluke as we were fishing a stocked 32acre lake which was only
opened a week previously. Fished it a couple of times since and it has
been great.
Last week however it came out again on two occassions. I used it, as did a
couple of my fishin buddies. Weather was bright and with a cold easterly
wind we were fishing a dry fly only evening with the guys from the club.
We were Not holding out a lot of hope due to the conditions
It was however fantastic. I had 9 fish, and the other guys had 8 between
them. The rest of the guys there had ones and twos but nothing like the
results of the MRZ. Fished it again on Saturday at another lake and again
we had the same conditions. It was bringing fish up to the surface that
were not obviously on the dries. Saturdays results were 12 to me and 8 to
my FB. Both these trips included LRC&R of various numbers.Yet to try it on
rivers but that may change this weekend. I shall let you know......
