If you are going through S. Colorado I would
definately fish the Animas (Durango) and some of the
small creeks just North of town there (Lime Creek,
Hermosa Creek, East Hermosa, Cascade Creek etc...) as
well as the San Juan. Also, the Pine, Piedra, Rio
Grande, Florida....Too many to name...are all very
close by. They are all great rivers to fish and are
mostly off the highway.
