I love this fly. I frequent many of the ponds and lakes in Central Florida. I can access so much water with my Kayak. I bring two rods with me. Both 3 wts. one has a Byrd'd Gillbuster on it. I cannot count the bass and bream I have caught on this fly. It is deadly. NTW, Bill has taken the tying directions off his website. But you can see it here: http://tinyurl.com/8p4dz I have Bill's recipe and the one that I use (I think is a little simpler.) The other rod has Steve Davenport's #6 black body/chartreuse popper. http://www.dppoppers.com/ Again, it takes as many as bream. Great fly. Here is my recipe for the popper: Hey Steve, "Send me some" ;-) jg
