I've had a great deal of fun with anything yellow. Dry or wet. I've been tying a small yellow fly for a few years, that is nothing but a body of peacock hurl and a triangular wing (with a V cut at the back) tied on at the eye. I use a size 12 usually. It gets hit on practically every cast. Of course, most of the fish are little crazy bank fish, but I get quite a few big ones too. Especially in the early summer. I've been suspending a little midge or worm fly from the hook bend of the yellow fly recently, and get a lot of hits on that too.
