Wish I had known about your husband. Tell congrats. A bunch of guys from
the BCFA were there two weekends. I fished with Aaron and Scott Cunningham
two ago as ell. I would have stopped in.

On Monday of last week, we really got into fish on the beaches.
and saw some TARPON, but did not have any opportunity to throw
at them.

WHAT A DIFFERENCE THE WEST WIND MAKES. We could not even fish the
outside beaches. Friday late we went to Bull's Bay and blindcasted for
a couple of hours. Three of caught one snook and one trout ( I was not
one of the three that caught fish)

Saturday morning we tried to fish outside Caya Costa. ( NOTE the word TRIED)
Very rough, dirty water. Saw nothing !! No snook or Tarpon and got really
beat up despite being in an 18' Hewes. About 9AM we went to the back
country. Three of us caught one trout ( Again, I was not one of the one's)

Saturday Very late we tried several docks near Boca Grande and Placida
Harbor. Finally, MINOR SUCCESS. (DONO-THEY WERE FEEDING ON THE TINEST OF
SHRIMP-kept looking in my boxes for one more DONO shrimp)Two of us caught
two snook and 4 ladyfish. (finally I was one of the ones.) Sunday AM the
wind was still clobbering the beach so we came home early.

It was of course a great trip despite the lack of catching. Went with 7
others guys from the BackCountry FlyFishing club and had lots of laughs and
good food. Wish the catching had been a little better.

This weekend, back in my Yak on the East Coast. Have a few canals that I
have not yet fished that usually hold good fish at this time of year
