He also gave allan a couple of .56%ers which he had tied (one of which allan was nice enought to give me). Tom put most of us tiers to shame...his tying room was pristine, neatest I've ever seen....must have been something about being an engineer...And I think that Mark D, would agree - the best part of the evening was chatting with Tom. He was a really neat fellow. He was complaining to me that they wouldn't let him renew his pilot's license because he had suffered a very mild heart attack. He hadn't been able to pilot his plane for nearly a year so he sold it. I asked him how old he was. He was 86 at that time! Sadly, he died three months later. Jeeze Allan, i think that was the same age Lee Wulff was when he had a heart
attack while flying his plane and crashed it. mark
