Folks: Around here, most places I fish, you can use
trolling motors only, cause it is places like watersheds where local towns get
their water, state public lakes etc.. Anyway... I bought on ebay (for only about
$30) a solar battery charger panel. It puts out between 170 and 300 milli amps..
With it, I can run my 25 lb thrust motor, with my 14' Aluminum Jon Boat loaded
to the gills, with three of us, trolling motor 55 pound deep cycle battery, life
jackets, coolers, 16 pounds of anchor, three seats and swivels, tackle, cooler
etc.. and run my depth finder, and motor, and my little 115 amp hour deep cycle
battery will run ALL DAY, and still hav epower left... Cause, we pull up to our
fishing spot.. then troll a few feet, stop, troll, stop, etc... It has been WELL
worth the money and you can find them all the time on ebay like I said, from
several sellers. Several models, price ranges etc... Great investment... HTH,
