I've been tying with wool, llama and alpaca since May, when I went to a workshop on tying with natural fibers. They float like cdc, and when they do drown, look like great nymphs. They catch fish either way. Tie on a post of white or yellow, tie two tufts at the bend, wrap yarn forward to the front of the post, bring the wool forward and tie off. trim the tufts to allow them to spread to form 'hackle' at the front. Crimpier (kinkier) wool floats best.
