I'm still trying to figure out how any of this can be a
TRIBUTE TO JIMMY D !!! I'm not an environmentalist, but I am a
conservationist. There's a helluva big difference. I take care of my
environment, be it the animals, plants, ponds, etc. on my ranch, the streams I
fish and all the plants and animals I'm around. I also hold a BS degree
in Forest Management and I understand that trees have to be harvested in order
for us to have houses to live in and for other wood products we use.
There is such a thing as "sustained yield" in a forest. That's what I
advocate. I don't believe in the kind of crap that PETA and similar
organizations put out. I don't believe in the Global Warming theory
either. I ain't a tree hugger, and I was proven right about the Spotted
Owl. The spotted owl debacle in Oregon and Washington killed the timber
industry and cost thousands of jobs. The place where they did some logging
before the ban, is now overrun with the pesky little bird. I was also proven
right about the Snail Darter and Tellico Dam. They built the dam
after a loud and long battle with the environmentalists. The Snail
Darter not only survived, there are more of them now than the
environmentalists know what to do with.

never did see the tribute to JIMMY D, and I resent my name being
associated with the Greenie Solution post! If
someone was aiming all this environmentalist / PETA crap toward
me, then you're barking up the wrong tree!!!!
