To the people of more wisdom than me (meaning: People with SOME trace of
wisdom). I have a question. Stupid... then so be it. It's no loss, since
noone has called me a genious yet

Been wondering about something a while now and that thing is 'Game Fishing'.
I can't recall having read about it in American literature. It wasn't until
I started to read Fly-Fishing And Fly-Tying (Scottish) that I saw it. There
it's to be read in practically every other sentence. But even though the
term takes up 10% of the words in a magazine, I have still not figured out
WHAT it is... and why I don't read it in American literature.

Theory no:1,
Cowboys took the British fly-fishing to the next level, added new
techniques, new materials etc. They made fly-fishing so effective that the
word 'game' doesn't apply anymore. The Brits still use it... while they keep
tying traditional quill wings.

Theory no:2,
Innovative Brits introduced fly-fishing, creative cowboys took over... and
the Brits got grumpy. Now they have introduced a new thing called Game
Fishing, which they won't let them get their hands on. They don't want the
FACT to be a secret though, since they are still crossed about the last
time. So they write (extensively) about it... kind of rubbing it in
everyones face: "Snatch this one... the day you know what it is."

If I'm right about no:1 - What was so lame about it that made it obsolete in
the west?
If I'm right about no:2 - Keith or Ashley. Explain to me offlist what Game
Fishing is and I swear on my parakeet's grave that I won't forward it to the
west.
