[VFB] striper patterns

Guys,   Going to Martha’s Vineyard in a few weeks for some serious striper fishing.   My brother-in-law who buys his flies tells me they are hitting on Tabory’s Snake Fly, sand eels ,and some kind of RED slider.   Questions.   1. Looking for Snake Fly pattern.  Does one exist where you can substitute something for the spin deer hair head.  I hate spinning hair.   2. I have a couple of sand eel patterns-  looking for others.   3. Can anyone guess what the Red slider might be.   Thanks, JG
