When ppl speak of 32 hackle, or a 24 fly.. Is that the hook size used??? I
have bought 2 books, got 6 from the library, one DVD and one VHS and NONE

For what it's worth, the hackle in there usually isn't "natural" in
color, but also is best suited for large, webby hackles.  Don't expect
to find size 32 dry fly hackle in there, though you may be pleasantly
surprised.  If you tie bass and streamer flies, this is the best thing
I have found for a vast variety at a minimal cost.  I've only gotten
my hands on two packs, so again, take it for what it;s worth... a
grain of salt... but I like them for wet- fly and contemporary-spey
fly use.
