When booked my flight to  Boston I asked about rods they said OK because I said I had a rod case with inner tubes.I've heard metal tubes are a no,no.Also it depends on the security staff/airline

I have a backpack with a pocket on each side

that wiil accommodate a 4pc rod in a case.

 

Does anyone know if I can carry them on the plane ??
