I use the Dyna King version of the McKenzie light and have the original
version also.
Check out the new travel light that Byard now has. It is battery
powered. You know how convenient that can be for traveling and shows.
I am sure he can get a base that will fit your vise. The guy that makes
them can be very accommodating.

Sorry to be away from the list / lurking of late, but I've been very
busy. Anyhow, I may be bringing up a very old topic, but with the
McKenzie line (the ones that attach to the vise stem), what is the
diameter of the post that the clamp will fit around? My Griffin
Odyssey has a very peculiar stem that is JUST over 3/8th of an inch...
making "normal" stuff difficult to attach. Just curious, but I'm
looking for a new light for anniversary, christmas, etc "hints" for my
wife.
Thanks and tight wraps,
Pete
