Many years back, Hans W gifted me a #28 Sawyers PTN. One fly I will might never fish...I can't find my 9x tippet spool or I'd be fishing my wife's tank of tiny tropicals right now. Just need that Conranch size 26-32 cree cape you keep locked up. ;-)

I traded for 5, Mustad 277 hooks before Christmas last year.
I packaged on a magnet strip, inside a clear envelope, two of them, one for Liz and the other for Fuzzy and gave them to the kids for a present. (both are avid tiers)
Without a doubt it was the most talked about present under the tree.
I retained the other three and have compared them to all others in my collection. Hans W. gifted me an assortment of the small hooks a few years ago. He also tied two on the Tiemco 28 for my collection. I have others tied by other tiers in my collection but none tied on the 277. All in my collection were tied using our hackle. Any volunteers to tie on a 277 for my collection.
Just for the record: I tie nothing smaller than size 22 as the eyes are getting old and would not think of fishing anything smaller in the waters that I fish.
