Tie those in by the tip at the rear of the hook and that will give you some nice webby feather toward the front that will move nicely in the water. Go to linesend.com and look under Whiting and you'll find what's called Wooly Bugger Pack for $9. There's a nice assortment of colors there. Those feathers are going to be very similiar to what you have know. Remember that dry fly hackle is a different animal all together. I would guess that 75% of the farm pond fishing that I do is done with some form of Wooly Bugger. The fun thing is that you can try all kinds of different combos of tail, chenille and hackle. Weighted and unweighted, bead or no bead, add some flash in the tail. Get crazy and add some rubber legs.
