Subject: RE: [VFB] Sargasso??

I just had to know. After my research it seems the Pacific sargassum is mainly rooted, a different variety from the Atlantic floating species which forms the infamous sargasso sea. So they do have sargasso algae in the sea of cortez.

"Species of Sargassum are found in many parts of the world. Marine Algae of California (Abbott and Hollenberg) shows some species that extend from California down to Baja California.
