Don: Sorry we didn't get together. Some quality fishing around here, in
addition to the Provo River, which is the Holy Grail, but gets hammered to
death 365 days a year. Utah Lake has several species of game fish, and some
trash fish, and a couple of rare species. Walleyes, white bass, largemouth, at
least two species of catfish, some perch, a lot of carp, a few trout which get
washed out of the colder, fresher streams that feed the lake. The lake is not
very cold, and is quite shallow. Quite a few fishermen I know fish the lake a
lot. Personally, I head for the streams. Next time you are travelling
through, let us know.

Larry,

Sure was close to you last week. Didn't realize that Springville was just
south of Provo. We were actually in the Wal Mart there. Sorry to miss you.
Joyce was out of town too.

How is Utah Lake for fishing?

Subject: [VFB] Cabela's, now Cabela's again

This is a follow-up to the note I posted yesterday about attending the
Cabela's pre-opening sale last night. I didn't get to go. My son-in-law
couldn't get the tickets after all, or he couldn't get off work after all,
so after all was said and done, there was a lot more said than done. It all
smelled a little fishy (fishing related now).
