Eric -
With me it has gotten so bad that I have infected my wife, who is not a tyer. She now asks me if things she plans to throw out might be useable in my tying. She even asks me if there is anything I need wneh she goes to the fabric store or the craft shop.
To reinforce what some of the others have said, I have dozens of film cans full of "found" dubbing materials that range from "Yorkie" fur, garnered when my daughter brushes her two Yorshire Terriers, to lint trap dubbing.
Keep your eyes open, the world is full of miracle tying materials.

Ok, I can tell I have the bug. I opened a bottle today and pulled out a wad of cotton. Instinctively, my hand dropped, heading for the trash can, when, hark, the question. " Hummmm, can I use that in my flies?" Dubbing maybe? So I ask, will this get so bad that everywhere I go, everything I see, I ask that question, "Can I use that in a fly?"Eric and Linda Evans
