now that's the regular teflon tape plumbers use right? how long is left to
hang over or behind the fly? do you do anything special to it?

I don't have any pics, I've tied it on then tied the egg pattern over it so
it trails behind, I've also tied it so it is at comes out from the front of
the egg pattern and lays across the egg. Use it for steelhead here in
Oregon
