Well, what I do in that situation is drill the hole in the bead a little bigger, then build up the thread on the hook and epoxy the bead to the thread. Just put a drop (so very small) enought to just rub the inside of the bead and hold it in place. Then tie the fly as usual behind the bead. I just purchased a few beads from Troutbeads.com - Order Form, and from what I ordered that is what I had to do to make them fit.
