Well, actually, you can't. Look at the scientific research being done
in sustainability, as well as just plain facts about existing
production practices.
I mean, whether iol is being drillin
in Alaska, or Saudi Arabia, it effects the whole planet, either for
the
good, or fro the bad, depending on HOW it is done...
Well, there's sensitive and tolerant ecosystems. And then there are
dead zones. Most of the Saudi desert is essentially a dead zone
(technically not entirely true; however desert ecosystems are not
crucial to global environment) and therefore extremely tolerant to
environmental destruction.
I'd rather it be done in
the US where we have abut the stiffest environmental laws in the
world...
Ha, typical US-centric stance. You don't, I repeat, DON'T have the
stiffest env. laws in the world. In fact, for the last 40 years or so
Russia probably has had the strictest laws, only no enforcement.
Taking into account enforcement, the EU probably has the strictest
laws, including some existing and proposed laws that border on the
lunatic...
And it's my job to help chemical companies to comply with those laws...
