Steaming works really well even on pretty mussed up feathers. The only
ones that seem to resist are where there is a sharp bend that breaks the
back of the fiber.

I have had some success with gently steaming the feathers, if they are
not too badly messed up.

Hello to All:

I have been presented with a spectacular gift of many wings and crests
etc of a fair few birds. The problem is that a number of them have seen
better days. By this I mean that they have been roughed up a bit. How
would you suggest I get them straightened out? Wash and let dry, etc??
