  I have to think about that one, honestly, as I've only done one
thing, and I doubt it's what you're looking for... what i've done
before is spray the feather with a fast-drying aerosol adhesive, then
lay it flat on a non-stick surface (I used plastic painter's tarp and
sandwitched the feathers between the tarping, then set a flat and
heavy book on top of the tarp).  Still, I think there's an easier way
to do what you describe...
