Jon,

Next week, I won't be starting that far up. The guy I'm going with usually likes to fish the top end of the chutes and getting him to start somewhere else will probably something just shy of a major miracle occuring. Not that I mind that much, to me the crowds are fun to watch and laugh at. I'd walk though the middle, but I fear that before I got 1/3 of the way through a hole like the one at the Stop Sign, an angler would get the idea of whipping me with rod, line and lure/hook. I know I wouldn't be able to walk through all that.

I haven't given much thought to how far I'm going to go though -- if you look at the current report, I'm thinking of bringing my noodle rod and fishing the mouth of some creek, it sure seems like that's the best choice -- Murf, use your boat and troll at the mouths?

I know the fish are that far, but they're super spread out .... I'm into walking and like to sight-fish for fish in riffles, not a lot of folks like that, but I do and low and clear works in those spots, if there's fish to be found there. I still haven't mastered Nagy's 'right angle technique' but then again, I don't use any strike indicators either, maybe that has something to do with it.

I need to finish DonO's flys for his Steelie Swap before I I tie any more for myself.

        Back to the tying table,

-->Garry

I was behind Millcreek mall these past two weekends... caught 1 on Saturday and 3 the week before. Saw a total of 6 other anglers over the two days. I've also caught fish under I-79 at McKean, so i know they go that far as well. if you decide to fish there, you're better off waiting til December or later... give them a chance to get that far.
