Thanks Tony: I have quite a bit of rod building rod repairs to do this coming winter so I will give both methods a try. I'm not sure if "Fix" brand is available in Canada, but I'm not far from the border and may be able to get some in Bellingham, WA.
Regards......Neville (Nev) Gosling The brand is "FIX" FIX WOOD PATCH Light Mahogany "made of wood to stain like wood" I was just talking to another rodmaker friend, he said he uses cork dust and contact cement. Says it stays flexable and sticks tight. I will have to give that a try Tony
