I just treat veniards like any other dye and been using them for years and never read those instructions : )
For heating I use a one pot electric ring in the porch due the amount of vineger I use everyone complains.
Recent dying sessons have resulted with excellent results from onions skins and curry powder.(nice golden yellows)
