I have Flyfisher's Guide to NORTHERN NEW ENGLAND Vermont, New Hampshire & Maine by Steve Hickoff and Rhey Plumley. Am saving it for a trip to see Byard one day to "drag" him out fishing with me. Early June sounds good with fishing dropping off as June heats up later in month.
Book states olive or tan EHC and cream to light brown hairwing emergers 12-16 the best drys, partridge & green or orange 10-14 good wets, olive hare's ear 6-12 or gray nymphs 10-12 productive, with the black/olive bugger 6-10 indispensible.Murf

We've had good luck using Trout Streams of Northern New England by David Klausmeyer. then if you can find local shops, we just buy a couple of flies in exchange for the information gotten.
