It hit 78ยบ here today. Theresa and Amanda "informed" me that we were going to Carlsbad to Bataan Lake for a picnic. They were thoughtful enough to load most of my fly fishing gear and rod. When we got there they worked on setting everything up down on the "Pad" next to the water and getting me there. I had a most enjoyable time for about 2 hours. I landed one 12" rainbow and one 8" carp. I had numerous LLR fish and several that hit and didn't take. It is still very difficult for me to set the hook when I am setting down, but at least I did land one trout and 2 fish. Theresa got "very" excited when I shifted my weight and lost my balance and "rolled" out of the chair. You would have thought I just fell off the main deck of the Titanic the way she acted. But they helped me get back situated and I enjoyed the rest of the time. Amanda wants to go back again before she has to go back to school on the 9th. But, that may be curtailed if Theresa's mom does not get better. Her mom has been in and out of the hospital the last week and is not doing very good at all. Please, keep her in your prayers. Jimi
