How many people actually are on the pro team ie for whiting?? I met one here called Mick Hall a couple weeks back. He showed me a midge cape. My jaw dropped and my heart went kaboom. He gave me a couple of hackles which are superb. I hope to get one someday. I love tying the smaller flies but the hackles for the tinier flies were few and far between. This one was too much for me though, and I will be saving the ones he gave me for a very special occasion....I don't know when I'll be able to get more (not looking good at this point).

The really special part of being on the team is meeting other team members. When I went to Roscoe to tie I met a Whiting Team member from down Tony's way. I know a lot of the tyers from around here but being part of the Whiting team has exposed me to tyers from other areas of the country. I also met another Whiting team member from England while I was in Somerset this past November. I've experienced an unexpected bonus for being part of this team, the camaraderie, and that is really neat!
