This is another Michigan pattern - I think I originally heard about it from an article on AuSable, but it might have been the Mantisee. I like the natural deer/white rabbit/gold krystal flash version - been a great smallmouth fly. I also wrap copper wire through the rabbit over the krystal braid - holding the strip tight to the hook seems to keep it from fouling as much and doesn't really change the action.

Recipes and/or pictures?

They are using this for the bruiser trout that you can find on the Manistee
River here in Michigan.  They have started to tie the Nutcrackers with
rabbit stripsI was told....more effective.  We'll find out!
