THREE different kinds of bugs. 1. Sow bugs are aquatic.  2. Pill bugs are terrestrial - another name is Roly Poly, i.e. they roll up into a little ball when disturbed.  3. A Doodlebug is the one that makes the little sand craters and hides in the very bottom.  When a small creature falls into the crater, the Doodle Bug rushes out, kills and eats the victim.
