Ken,
I don't know about fishing in or close to Vienna. If you have some time on the weekend, and if you have a car available, their might be some great oportunities to fish. I think, it takes a one or 2 hour drive, and you should be able to fish great waters. The licences are usually a bit expensive, and they have limited quantities - usually you have to reserve a license in advance. I'm too far from Vienna to fish there, therefore I have no personal experience. But I read some very interesting articles in FF-mags.
Chris mentioned the Traun. Try it.
And check with closed seaons. Trout has closed season very often till end of March or Mid April.

Hi Everybody,

I have a business trip to Vienna in the first week of April. Of course I want to see all of the great architecture, museums & culture.....but i'm also curious about the fishing. Will it be worth it to bring along rod, flies & waders?

Thanks,

Ken
