oh wow. Mt. Airy?? That is indeed close to home. I am in Clarksville. Chances are i saw him at the local Fly-fishing symposiums but never recognized him. This is unbelievably sad. Having met others or not, this sport indeed bonds us together 'till death do us part.

Murf was one of the kindest most generous persons I've ever had the
pleasure of knowing. I first met Dave at the Fly Tying Symposium
about 10 years ago. We fished, tied flies and caroused ever since.
