Looks like a bunch of us want to tie a memorial fly for Murf. I have a suggestion. Most of you will remember three years ago when Rick Zieger came up with the idea of the "Courage Swap" for my Jody, while she was battling breast cancer. 51 of you tied a special fly for Jody and sent them to me. I placed them all in a neat SHADOW BOX, lined with green felt. It hangs on the wall above Jody's desk displaying all the many colors, sizes and kinds of flies that you tied. It took a couple months for all the flies to come in, and Jody looked forward to the mail each day, wondering what pretty fly would show up. Having your beautiful flies arrive almost daily gave her something to look forward too, and was a source of great comfort to her, plus she gained lots of new friends, who not only sent a fly for her but prayed for her recovery. Jody dubbed the group her RAINBOW ANGELS. It's been three years now and Jody is still Cancer Free.

If we elect to send flies, I think it would be very appropriate to put them in a nice Shadow Box and send to Lena so she can display them where it will be a constant reminder to her of the many friends that Murf had on the VFB.
