Tom,

First of all, Swamper is all that you know of.  There's always more there in there- they just haven't 'introduced' themselves yet.  See, as they get more comfortable over time, they'll kinda poke their heads out to see if the water is OK.  This is the important part.  If you don't welcome them into the world, they'll just go right back in hiding, and sadly, most times in silence.  It's just so sad when this happens.

With me, Dr. D was brought out by a friend and fellow flyfisher/tier.  When he called me, he would ask to speak to Dr. D. (Dr. Demento).  This made Dr. D feel very welcome coming out into the world, since he was afraid before that people wouldn't like his weird flies.  It was Dr. D that finally introduced me to Buggs, which explained a lot to me- why I always got into trouble.  Buggs was thrown out of the chat room by Byard, so he asked Veronica to step in.  I didn't know she was even there- surprised even me, tell ya.  Byard and her hit it right off.  I was getting worried, and so was Deb.

What surprised even my shrinks is that Dr. D,  Buggs and even Ronnie (Murf' nickname for her) have alter ego's.  You've met Ricochet Rabbit III Esquire (Bugg's), but Dr. D's alter-ego- Dr. Hackle and Mr. Hide (a dual personality) is very shy and doesn't come out until Dr. D gets a little tipsy.  Then look out.

So, in short, 'Swamper' is just the beginning.  Nick just thinks Jester is the end- so naive of him.  Other vfb'ers are coming forward to admit and welcome their alter egos now.  Pretty soon the membership of the vfb will triple.  Let's hope these new ones are flyfishermen-tiers so that the posts will increase with all of the new insights.

Deb, you're next.  Your turn here in Flyfisherman's Therapy 101.
