this should work:

Also, if you have florida sportsman back issues there's a feature on how to tie one from last year. can't recall the specific issue off the top of my head but it has a drawing of a grouper hitting a yellow plug on the cover.

I think you're looking for something like this.I'm not sure what Elmer used to tie it with in the instructions but it's not the short polar fiber.Pretty simple tie.MaterialsHook: Gamakatsu SC15 or similar hookThread: Clear mono, fine or ultra fineBody: White Polar FiberFlash: Angel HairEyes: 3-D or flat stick on.Flex-Coat, 5 minute epoxy or clear silicone, Photo-Flo, Permanent Markers to color back. Favorites, Light Cerulean Blue, Celedon Green, Chartreuse. One piece tied in the back at the end of the shank bend this determines the length of the fly.Tie in some flash on both sides of the shank, and some on top, just behind the hook eyeTie in two pieces just behind the hook eye. One on top, one on the bottom, then two sparser pieces on each side to cover the flash. Lightly coat the head area with Flex-Loc, let dry then add eyes. For a faster sinking fly use the 5 minute epoxy to coat head area, slower fly use clear silicone.I've actually moved away from the Polar Fiber to the more translucent artificial hairs like, Mirror Image and Fuzzy Fiber. I pre-blend the Angel Hair with the hair before tying the fly.Jerry C

On my recent trip to Stuart (SE Florida coast) a fiber minnow or polar fiber
minnow was far and away the bait of choice. I have not tied any since my
trip of a year ago.
When my computer was redone, I lost a whole file with a bunch of my favorite
flies
and the fibre minnow was among them.Does anyone have the recipe for the fiber minnow or a Website. Thanks
