Well, I'm embarrassed and proud at the same time... Last yr there was this kid who has a single Mom cause his dad left them etc etc .. And, Him Mom had bought Him a $29.95 Wal Mart combo fly rod.... Well, I tried to teach Him how to cast, and he was doing OK, when I left, and I saw Him a time or two since then. This is a City Park, and has shell cracker wayyy over a pound each. Well, Him and His Mom were there when I got there today, and He was casting his fly rod with live redworms on the hook.. I gave Him Mom a few more flies for Him to try, but he already had a 12 packer slam full of BIG shell crackers.. Then, while I was there, with My fancy tied flies, he caught about 20 more "Big Uns".. I caught (snicker snicker) TWO LOL,Oh well i taught Him too good..
