Chuck,
25.4000 mm = 2.54000 cm = 1.0000 inch
EXACTLY 1.094 yd = 1.000 meter 1.609 km = 1.000 mile
1.00 qt =
946 mL 3785 mL = 3.785 L = 1.000 US gallon
More practically for bead
sizes:
1/16 inch = 1.6 mm approximately 3/32 inch = 2.4 mm
approximately 1/8 inch = 3.2 mm approximately 5/32 inch = 3.87 mm
approximately 1/4 inch = 6.35 mm this will at least give you a
"feel" for the sizes.
That should get you through most of it... just
don't ask me to convert between Euros and dollars...

I gotta restudy up on My metric I know it takes about 101 or so
mm to the inch... The small sized beads I have, when I lay them next to some
(known sized) 2mm craft foam, seem to be the same thickness so I guess then,
that is what they are, I'm confused, LOL, Chuck

Chuck,
we wre metricised in '72...
one inch = 25.4 mm approx.
We get imperial and metric stuff here..
Beads come in the following sizes here
2.5mm
3mm
4mm
4.5mm (there are sometimes some in between...s)
3/32 (2.5mm)
1/8 (3mm approx)
5/32 (4mm approx)
generally I use 3 and 4mm beads (1/8, 5/32s)
Bead head nymphs I tie #14s with 3mm beads,
#12s with 3 or 4mm beads
#10s with 4mm beads..
Hope this is not too confusing,.
