Much better than yours...for the first time in a over a week I didn't grade any lab reports or test, but that'll change tomorrow.  Instead last night I wrote a  series of webpages for a Tom Nixon swap that was hosted by Kevin Payne on the Fly Tying Forum.  That was better than grading.  in case you are interested the URL is http://cbfc0.tripod.com/tnix3.htm, but links are also on the Contraband Fly Casters page at http://cbfc0.tripod.com (along with other Nixon swaps and patterns).  If you are interested in bass & panfish patterns they are worth checking out.  The links are also on my own fishing page at http://chemprof.tripod.com/fishing.html

Now for the bad news.  I have a wound on the ball of my right foot (due to a callus) that was not healing properly. The callus was due to teaching 1 1/2 times as much as I would normally do (do to hurricane probelms at McNeese).    The doctor's prescription is no pressure at all on the foot, so for at least a while I'm in my wheelchair (they are making a special boot to remove the pressure from that spot, but I haven't got that yet.  The wound seems to be healing quite quickly now that the doctor is doing his thing.  they've checked and there is no infection or infection of the bone in the foot so that's all good.  However, there is almost nowhere at the moment where I culd fish from my wheelchair, since hurricane Rita tore alot of those access sites up, and they aren't number one priorities on the repair lists.  Hopefully, I'll have that boot in 2 weeks when my usual fishing partner is able to go again, and I'll be able to get into his boat.  Looks like I'll be tying flies for a while instead of fishing.

Hi Gang. Sorry, no quote today, have had power knocked out since last
evening. Tornado in my subdivision. Bad stuff. Lots of damage. Jody
and I were lucky. All we lost was the Gazebow on the back deck. Was
with out electricity from 11:45 p.m. last night until 2:00 p.m. this
afternoon. However, I have a power generator and was able to plug the
refrigerator and freezer into it. Some in neighborhood didn't fair as
well. Then around 11:00 a.m. today, my neighbor at the ranch called
to tell me that a car had come through the "T" at the intersection of CR
269 and my road CR 268 and tore about 20 feet of fence out. So, I had t
make a flying 78 mile trip to the ranch. In the meantime, my neighbor
and my son-in-law who lives just up the road repaired the fence. Now
get this! With the big hole in the fence from around mid-night last
night until 11:00 a.m. today, Calico, my longhorn steer didn't even try
to get out through the break. Lucky again. Filed police report and
they think they have the cuplrit. Will charge him with not giving
information on tearing my fence down. Similar to Hit and Run.

And, how was your last 24 hours??
