How about a contest?
Who can tie the coolest fly without using thread or glue or head
cement.
Can do it as a photo contest, so just one needs to be tied.
Or more
than one design.
Can use wire as a material, but not as thread.
Example- can use JimmyD's longhorn tail hair, but as a woven or
braided
tail, not as tying thread. Dubbing has to be done
without thread at
all. Has to be a fishable fly.
Anyone up for that? No schedule or deadline or prize.
Can
build on previously submitted flies and tactics to learn
and tie your
own- just give credit for ideas to the
source.
Pictures taken during the process would be helpful to those
learning.
I have a full-blown no-thread stonefly in mind.
