Folks: I just picked up a book today, called "Fly Tying Materials, Their Procurement, Use, and Protection" copyright 1973 by Eric Leiser... I haven't read the book yet, but it has color pics of necks and saddles on the front of the dust jacket, and I didn't realize genetics had come THAT far since 1973.. These feathers (I assume) are #1 grade, and the longest feathers appear to be about MAYBE 4-5 inches long on the roosters.. I got #3 grade saddles now, that have 8-12 inch feathers LOL.... Those feathers have come a LONGGGG way huh?? But I guess fly fishing materials of all types have too..Chuck
