[VFB] Quartz Light for tying

Folks: Can anybody tell Me if quartz light makes good tying light??? We have a quartz lamp we have had for some time, but the bulb is blown, and I never got it replaced, but I came across the lamp in our storage shed the other day, and wondered if it would be a good light to tie with???
